The Can Gio Metro Line (also called the Metro connecting District 7 – Can Gio) is a high-speed urban rail project that is being proposed and having its investment documents prepared, with the goal of bringing the Can Gio coastal area closer than ever to Ho Chi Minh City’s center.
The Can Gio Metro Line is a proposed project connecting District 7 with Can Gio District, spanning approximately 48.7km, running entirely elevated with a maximum speed of up to 250 km/h, scheduled to commence construction in Q4/2025 with the target of completion in early 2028. The project is proposed for investment by Vingroup under a public-private partnership (PPP) model and is expected to strongly drive the development of the Can Gio Coastal Tourism Urban Area.
