Recently, the name Eco Smart City Thu Thiem has begun appearing on signage surrounding the Smart Complex project site in Functional Area No. 2 of Thu Thiem New Urban Area (Thu Duc City). This development follows the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee’s inclusion of the project on its list of priority initiatives for the second quarter and its approval of the adjusted detailed planning at a 1/500 scale.

This is one of the flagship projects in Thu Thiem New Urban Area, with a total investment of approximately 20,100 billion VND. The site encompasses nearly 7.5 hectares and is strategically positioned opposite the Empire City project and near the Thu Thiem Symphony, Music, and Dance Theatre, alongside other prestigious luxury residential developments in the area.

After years of review, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Natural Resources and Environment has submitted a report and recommendation to the City People’s Committee regarding land allocation and lease to Lotte Properties HCMC Co., Ltd. for project implementation. The City People’s Committee has authorized the company to hold a groundbreaking ceremony on September 2.
