Recently, the name Eco Smart City Thu Thiem began to appear on the fence surrounding the land of the Smart Complex project in functional area No. 2 in Thu Thiem New Urban Area (Thu Duc City). This move came after Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee put the project on the list to focus on removing problems in the second quarter, and at the same time approved adjusting the detailed planning task at a scale of 1/500.

This is one of the key projects of Thu Thiem New Urban Area with a total investment of approx VND XNX billion. The land has a total area of nearly 7,5 hectares, located opposite the Empire City project and near the Thu Thiem symphony, music and dance theater project, as well as a series of other high-end and luxury housing projects of area.

After many years of review, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City has now submitted a report and proposal to the City People’s Committee to consider land allocation and land lease to Lotte Properties HCMC Co., Ltd. to implement the project. In the meantime, the City People’s Committee allowed this company to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the project on September 2.
