Reinforcing its expanded presence in Vietnam, Keppel Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Saigon Sport City project in District 2, Ho Chi Minh City.
Loh Chin Hua, CEO of Keppel Corporation, spoke at the event: “Today’s groundbreaking for Saigon Sport City marks a new chapter in Keppel’s partnership with Ho Chi Minh City, as we collaborate with the local government to advance innovation and foster smart, sustainable urban development.”
Keppel Land and Keppel Urban Solutions are partnering with leading international firms to develop this 64-hectare site into an iconic, vibrant, and integrated township centered on sustainability, community, connectivity, and innovation.
“We are confident that Saigon Sport City will become an iconic destination in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting those who seek to lead the way in urban living,” he added.
Upon completion, Saigon Sports City will feature approximately 4,300 luxury residences alongside a comprehensive sports, entertainment, and lifestyle hub. The first phase will include residential and commercial spaces as well as sports facilities.
Loh Chin Hua noted that Keppel has had the privilege of contributing to Vietnam’s development for nearly 30 years, establishing itself as one of the largest foreign real estate developers in the country.
Over the decades, the group has built strong partnerships with the Ho Chi Minh City government and local stakeholders, transforming the city’s landscape through quality residential and commercial projects. Notable developments include Saigon Center, Estella, Palm City, and Riviera Point. Keppel is also currently developing Empire City in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area, which will represent another landmark destination in Ho Chi Minh City.
